Join us for the Cigar Box Challenge fundraiser
Starting October 2, registration begins for our Cigar Box Challenge.
You will have one month to design or decorate your Cigar Box however you want and submit it to the Veterans Art Center before 5 pm on November 3.
If you do not have a cigar box you can pick one up at the Veterans Art Center once you have registered. We have no rules regarding how you want to decorate your cigar box, use any media or material you want, and if you don't have what you need, it's probably available at the Veterans Art Center.
Completed boxes must be submitted to the Veterans Art Center on or before Nov 3. The art will be judged and there will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place gift card winner. All entrants will receive a thank you gift.
The boxes will then be displayed at the Veterans Art Center and other places in the community for the month of November and also posted on our web page and social media. At the end of the month we will auction them off -- more details will be available as logistics are confirmed. All proceeds will go to the Veterans Art Center.
To kick this Challenge off we want to give you time to get registered, grab a cigar box, and get creating. You are also able to use supplies from the studio, and we have plenty. There are lots of books for ideas, too. Come on in and say hi.
